- IN PLANNING WITH EDITIONS BIM NEW TUBA ENSEMBLE MUSIC FROM CHESTER C. WASHINGTON
I have been fortunate to say Chester Washington is a close friend of mine. He is a brilliant African American composer who has written solo works for violinist Daisy Joplin, String Trio Trilogy, currently soloist in the USA, and Trumpet player Jeffrey Segal, former solo trumpet player at the Zurich Opera House, as well as six works for me. Three of his pieces were recorded on my 2006 Solo CD, Sassified. His music has a contemporary and timeless quality. We are planning a CD release of Chester’s six original works. One of his pieces can be heard in the SOLO section of the website: “LOOK ANOTHER PURPLE LIGHT.
